Following a jury trial, defendant/appellant John E. Knight appeals his conviction of murder in the second degree, in violation of Hawai'i Revised Statutes (HRS) §§ 707-701.5 (1993)*fn1 and 706-656(2) (1993).*fn2 On appeal, Knight contends that: (1) the trial court committed reversible error when it refused to give the jury an instruction on reckless manslaughter; and (2) he was denied a fair trial due to prosecutorial misconduct. For the reasons discussed below, we affirm Knight's conviction.
