On July 13, 1964, Charles T. Koerner in the presence of privately retained counsel pleaded guilty to various counts of an information alleging his participation in burglary of a food store and a shooting affray that ensued. Upon his plea of guilty he was sentenced to ten years for burglary, twenty years for armed burglary, ten years for injury by conduct regardless of life, and three years for endangering safety by conduct regardless of life. The sentences imposed were to be served concurrently in the state prison and consecutively to a sentence that had been imposed earlier.
